New Federal Minimum Wage - July 2009
The federal minimum wage rate will be increased to $ 7.25 per hour from the current
$ 6.55 per hour.
New Mileage Rates - June 25,
The rate for calculating deductible costs of using your car for business in the second half of 2008 will be 58.5 cents a mile, up from 50.5 cents during the first half of the year.
The rate for figuring deductible medical or moving costs will rise to 27 cents a mile from the 19 cents a mile allowed in the first half.
The rate for providing services to charitable organizations – set by law, not by the IRS – remains at 14 cents a mile.
